Arcus announces the acquisition of Swiss4net in Switzerland
Arcus Infrastructure Partners is pleased to announce the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Swiss4net Holding A.G. (“Swiss4net”).
Swiss4net is a fibre-to-the-home (“FTTH”) business that develops, builds and operates FTTH networks in rural and medium dense areas of Switzerland. The company currently operates two regional networks with approximately 25,000 households connected, and is very well positioned on a significant pipeline of further networks that it is planning to roll out over the coming years.
Christopher Ehrke (Arcus Co-head of Telecoms, Partner) commented on the transaction, on behalf of Arcus: “We are very pleased to announce our first transaction in Switzerland. We are convinced that the high-quality brownfield FTTH networks, attractive business model, significant potential for future growth, and supportive macro-economic environment for fibre, match up very well with Arcus’ investment strategy and our skills as a European mid-market, value-add manager.” Romain Roirand (Senior Investment Director), who led the acquisition, further said: ‘Moving forward, Arcus is excited to support Swiss4net’s experienced management team in building on the existing platforms, to execute on the identified pipeline and to deliver gigabit access across Switzerland.’
